The Walsh Family Laboratories

Encompassing 28,000 square feet, The Walsh Family Laboratories building is one of the three major structures that make up the Institute’s campus. In 2003 The Neurosciences Institute dedicated its experimental laboratory building as “The Walsh Family Laboratories” in recognition of the William D. Walsh family’s generous philanthropic support. The single-story building contains eight individual “wet” laboratories equipped with sophisticated instruments for advanced biological and chemical research on brain function as well as offices for Fellows in Experimental Neurobiology and conference space. The building’s rooftop is a popular venue for special events, and it also serves as a pedestrian thoroughfare for local scientists.
